The mission of the outreach program in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Texas is to ignite, inspire, and motivate K-12 students to develop a love for learning and exploration in the sciences. We target students in underrepresented communities, and use hands-on demonstrations to captivate their minds. We are dedicated to proving that chemistry is relevant, fun, and entertaining.

Demonstrations are geared toward both auditorium style and small, hands-on sessions and conducted for schools and non-profit youth groups.  Demonstration topics may include combustion, environmental science, food chemistry, forensic science, and physical chemistry and will be age-appropriate for the audience.
