Professor Grant Willson awarded the 2009 Gordon E. Moore Medal for Outstanding Achievement in Solid State Science and Technology

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is pleased to announce that Professor C. Grant Willson is the 2009 recipient of the Gordon E. Moore Medal for Outstanding Achievement in Solid State Science and Technology, awarded by the Electrochemical Society.

The recipient of the Moore Medal is chosen based on contributions to the field of solid state science and technology. The award recognizes outstanding contributions to the fundamental understanding and technological applications of solid state materials, phenomena, and processes. Professor Willson will receive the medal at the Electrochemical Society meeting in San Francisco later this month.
