Safety Madness Featured in C&EN's The Safety Zone

The Department of Chemistry's 2014 Safety Madness competition was featured in The Safety Zone by Chemical & Engineering News (C&EN). The tournament, organized in brackets of research groups similar to March Madness, challenged graduate students to showcase their lab's safety guidelines and procedures for cash prizes. The Roberts group took home the final prize for the “Measurers” conference and the Anslyn group won the “Makers” conference. Each group has earned a $200 gift card for their lab for showing excellent lab safety.
