Welcome to the Chemistry Demonstrations Lab at the University of Texas at Austin, where our mission is to ignite curiosity, foster learning, and inspire a profound appreciation for the wonders of chemistry. We strive to deliver high quality, hands-on, and in-class demonstrations to our lecture classrooms as aids to students’ understanding of complex concepts. As pioneers in the realm of captivating science education, we are dedicated to becoming the foremost destination for the development and performance of demonstrations (old and new) within the University of Texas system. 

At the heart of our vision lies a commitment to exhilarating exploration in the lecture hall. Our team of passionate chemists and student workers is driven by a shared ambition to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary, infusing chemistry with a sense of excitement that leaves audiences in awe. Through dynamic displays of chemistry in classroom settings, we aspire to lead the way at this esteemed institution and spark a lifelong love for chemistry.

Vision

The vision of the UT Chemistry Demonstrations Program is to become the preeminent science education program for collegiate ­level students in the United States. We aspire to achieve this vision by encouraging every chemistry instructor to utilize exciting demonstrations in their classroom, resulting in an invaluable experience for the UT­ Austin students. All students in attendance will be encouraged to take pictures/videos and share their experiences with live demonstrations.
