Kurtis Carsch Joining Department

KurtisCarsch TruncatedheadshotThe Department of Chemistry is pleased to announce that Kurtis Carsch will join the University of Texas at Austin in Winter 2025 as an assistant professor. Dr. Carsch received a joint B.S./M.S. from Caltech under the supervision of Bill Goddard and Theo Agapie. He received his Ph.D. from Harvard University under the tutelage of Ted Betley. Currently, he is an Arnold O. Beckman Postdoctoral Fellow with Jeff Long in the Institute for Decarbonization Materials at the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Carsch will develop an interdisciplinary research program that combines synthetic inorganic chemistry with materials science, organometallic catalysis, and organic chemistry.
