The Department of Chemistry is pleased to announce that Mike Rose, Ruth Shear, Stacy Sparks, and Deborah Walker have been promoted, effective September 1, 2019.
Michael Rose has been promoted to Associate Professor with tenure. Rose received his PhD in 2009 from the University of California, Santa Cruz (advisor: Professor Pradip Mascharak), followed by a postdoc at the California Institute of Technology (joint appointment in the research groups of Professors Harry Gray and Nate Lewis). He joined the University of Texas at Austin in 2012.
Ruth Shear and Stacy Sparks have been promoted to Professors of Instruction. Deborah Walker has been promoted to Associate Professor of Instruction.
