Melissa Meyerson and Jason Weeks, both graduate students in the Mullins Lab, won first and second place in the Sustainability and Renewable Energy category of the UT Energy Week Poster Competition. This interdisciplinary poster competition promotes the development of energy research in the academic community and allows students to share their work with a diverse audience interested in novel solutions to energy problems. Melissa shared her work on the causes of dendritic growths on lithium metal anodes and Jason shared his work on a novel tin (IV) oxide-carbon composite anode material for high-capacity Li-ion batteries.
