Professor Katherine Willets Honored With University of Texas Board of Regents' Outstanding Teaching Award

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is pleased to announce that Professor Katherine "Kallie" Willets has been selected by The University of Texas Board of Regents to receive an Outstanding Teaching Award.

This awards program was established in August 2008 as the latest in a series of University of Texas System initiatives aimed at fostering innovative approaches to teaching, research and commercialization endeavors at all 15 University of Texas System institutions. Professor Willets is one of 35 faculty members at The University of Texas at Austin to share a total of $2 million.

Professor Willets' selection to this distinguished group is an excellent indicator of her value to the department and to the field of chemistry. We are very pleased that she has received this award.
